Mr. Shahid Maqsood has more than 25 years’ experience of ICT sector in & outside Pakistan. Core expertise of Business Planning, Implementation, Operations & Project Management. Extensive experience in Managing Business Operations- Technical & Commercial, Business Consultancies, Restructuring, Rollouts and Technical Audits for GSM & WLL Networks, Fibre Optic Cable, CATV and Broadband Networks.
His role in the company is from Business development to Strategic Operations Management and Implementation. He is also involved in Scheming strategies & procedures for the achievement of objectives & goals of the company.
Prior to joining Worldcall he has a proven track record for the successful delivery of high-profile projects for USFCo, CMPAK, Mobilink, Ufone, Telenor, Huawei, ZTE, Worldcall, Wateen, PTCL and PSCA (Punjab Safe Cities Authority).
Mr. Muhammad Akmal is an accomplished telecom expert with excellent project management, team management and analysis skills. He is having 25 years of experience in Telecom & Power sectors with graduation in Electrical Engineering from UET, Lahore. His core expertise include design, implementation, optimization and operational management of Telecom networks.
Currently he is working as Director Technical at WorldCall Telcom Ltd where he joined as Senior Manger Technical Operations in 2009. At WTL, he played a key role in the design, implementation and O&M of cutting-edge wire line and wireless technologies. He successfully managed expansion & up-gradation of WTL HFC Network in Lahore & Karachi. His most recent project is successful migration of WTL Network from HFC to FTTH which is now operational in Lahore and rollout is being planned in other cities as well.
Prior to WTL, he has served as Senior Manager Fiber Optics Operations at Mobilink looking after Metro & long-haul fiber network. Earlier he was a pioneered team member of Alcatel NSD, Dubai in designing, testing, commissioning & acceptance of UAE’s first HFC & Wireless Broadband Network Project (E-Vision) by ETISALAT. He served as Project Manager for deployment of HFC Network at Dubai International Airport Expansion Project. He also worked on Thermal Power Projects in Installation, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance domains with renowned brands like Wartsila Diesel & Caterpillar Power Plants.
Currently working with WorldCall Telecom Limited, a listed company in Pakistan, as Company Secretary. He possess professional experience spanning 13 years including article ship. Areas of expertise include Corporate Affairs, Legal & Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Finance, analytical problem solving, team management and report writing.
Solely responsible for looking after compliance with the applicable statutory and regulatory framework. Liaising with the external regulators and authorities also constitute his defined role in addition to ensuring all records of corporate documents are maintained accurately. Corporate relationship building, managing investor relations and responding to inquiries of stakeholders are other areas of expertise to name a few. Drafting benchmarks and setting targets for Company’s budget and preparing presentations for the Board. Have been convening and organizing meetings of Board of Directors, circulating minutes of meetings to those entitled timely.
He works closely with the Chairman of the Board and advises Members and committees of the Board on ideal governance practices, keeping themselves abreast with evolving amendments in but not limited to CCG Rules, Listing Requirements, SECP and PSX Rule Book and Companies Act, 2017 (the “Act”).
